A set of four CD’s, coming with a book (89 pages) of more than 18,000 words of discographical and biographical information by Alan Shipton, a foreword by Malcolm Mills, a „footnote“ by John Crocker and „a snapshot of Chris Barber’s Motor Racing Life“, written by David Brodie A.K.A. „Brode“. The book is fully illustrated with 150 photos from Chris‘ private collection.
This compilation covers the musical life and work of Chris Barber, who sadly died on 2nd March 2021. Starting with a studio recording (Stomp Off Let’s Go) of Oct. 26, 1951 and ending up with a previously unissued „Savoy Blues“ from London 2018. Between these two titles you can listen to almost 5 hours of Chris Barber’s fantastic music. There are too many titles to list them all here, but you will find a complete description on amazon music
So, sit back, do relax and listen to the sounds of Chris Barber’s Bands and enjoy reading all the information given by this book.
Thanks to Malcolm Mills, The Last Music Co and to all involved people who helped to realize this project.

P.S. I would like to point out that this new book is not a copy of „JAZZ ME BLUES“, The Autobiography of Chris Barber, written by Chris Barber with Alyn Shipton and containing 172 pages.
